Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and PromptBlend (“we,” “us,” “our”) that governs your use of our website at promptblend.app, our tools (including PromptSift), and any related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Definitions

  • “Service” means promptblend.app and the tools we offer on it, including PromptSift.
  • “Sift” means a single text-in / text-out call to our PromptSift engine.
  • “Credit” means the unit we use to meter usage. One credit is consumed per Sift call (the exact ratio may vary with input size, and we will tell you the cost before each call when relevant).
  • “Account” means your authenticated user account created through our sign-up flow.
  • “Content” means anything you submit to the Service, including prompts you paste into PromptSift.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. The Service is not directed at children under 13.

3. Account and authentication

We use Clerk to handle sign-up, sign-in, and session management. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or expose us to legal risk. Where reasonable we will give notice and a chance to fix the issue first.

4. Subscriptions and credits

The Service is sold under two billing models:

  • Subscriptions. Monthly and annual plans grant a set number of credits per billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over between cycles and are reset at the start of each new cycle.
  • Credit packs. One-time purchases that grant a fixed number of credits. Pack credits expire 12 months from the date of purchase.

Pricing on our pricing page is current at the time it is shown. We may change prices for new purchases at any time; price changes do not affect orders already placed. If you are on an annual plan with founder pricing, your renewal price stays the same as long as your subscription does not lapse.

5. Payments via Stripe

All payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and never reach our servers. By making a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms in addition to ours. Subscription plans renew automatically until you cancel. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge the payment method on file for each renewal until cancellation.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to produce, request, or facilitate any of the following:

  • Explicit sexual content;
  • Any sexualized content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes a minor in any way;
  • Non-consensual sexual scenarios, including content that depicts a real person without consent;
  • Deepfakes or impersonation of identifiable real people (including public figures) intended to mislead, harass, or harm;
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, or defamation of any person;
  • Content that violates applicable law, infringes third-party rights, or attempts to evade safety controls.

Suggestive but lawful content (for example, swimwear, lingerie, mirror selfies, athletic wear, fashion or fitness creator content) is permitted, subject to the rules above.

Our PromptSift engine refuses prompts that fall into the prohibited categories at runtime. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly attempt to bypass these refusals.

7. Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the prompts and text you submit to the Service. By submitting Content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that Content for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you (for example, sending it to our AI provider so we can return a cleaned version).

We do not claim ownership of the cleaned outputs you receive from PromptSift. You are free to use them, subject to the Acceptable Use Policy and to the terms of any downstream tools where you use them (for example, image generators).

The Service itself — including the PromptBlend and PromptSift names, the website design, our code, our presets, and any associated trademarks — is owned by us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its outputs at scale without our written permission.

8. Reference image rights disclaimer

PromptSift is a text-only tool. We do not host, store, or process images. If you pair a cleaned prompt with a reference image in a downstream image generator, you are responsible for ensuring that you own or have the right to use that reference image and the likeness of any person in it. PromptBlend is not a licensing intermediary for images, likenesses, or any other third-party content.

9. Service availability and changes

We do our best to keep the Service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature, we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a prorated credit or refund.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or always available, or that AI-generated outputs will meet your expectations or be free of mistakes.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, PromptBlend and its founder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PromptBlend and its founder from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, use the Service to break the law, or create undue risk for the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you and we both consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give reasonable notice (for example, an email or an in-product banner). Your continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
